The name "Flat Channels" was chosen based on New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman's book "The World is Flat". The founders were amazed by the author's observation, analysis and vision of the insight of the trend the world is toward. It was believed that mobile device, especially smart phone, is accelerating such changes that make the world exposed to us through new generation pocket devices.
